Women Infants & Children (WIC) Program

WIC is a supplemental nutrition program which provides nutrition education and specific nutritional foods that are tailored to meet the needs of pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women; infants up to 1 year; and children 1 to 5 years of age. WIC participants must meet the program requirements of residency, income, and nutritional risk.  A breastfeeding peer counselor is available for clients who need breastfeeding support.  The health department provides a breastfeeding friendly environment for clients.
