Child Car Seat Program

Car seats are available for purchase or temporary rental for infants and children who weigh up to 100 pounds or are up to 8 years of age. Car beds are also available for premature infants. (Click here for picture) Lee County Health Department Safety Seat Program The Lee County Health Department has the following child safety car seat programs: Toddler Seat Purchase $25 Infant Seat Purchase $20 Premature Infant Car Bed Rental $35 To qualify for purchasing an infant, toddler or booster seat, clients must meet the WIC/reduced lunch income guidelines of 185% of poverty and be a Lee County resident. Premature Infant Car Beds Premature infant car beds are available for rent regardless of income.  A premature infant car bed can be rented for as long as needed for $35.  The fee covers the cost of purchasing a new pad and harness for the unit, a requirement for rental of the bed.  Available to any Lee County resident as long as they are needed. Infant, Toddler, and Booster Seat Rental Any county resident may rent a car seat for a short period of time (up to 6 weeks) for a $20 deposit, of which $15 will be returned to the client when the seat is brought back in good condition with all hardware. Note All programs require the client to watch a 21 minute video.
